How To Run Android Applications On Windows 11

Windows 11 Hero e1624551974754

Users of Windows 11 will soon be able to run Android applications on their operating system. Currently, beta testers can accomplish this, which you may do by joining up.
Installing Android applications on Windows 11 will be explained in this article. Following this approach, you may get goodbye of Bluestacks and Droid4X and utilise Android applications on your PC!

So let’s get started!

Prerequisites

Some things need to be checked or set up before we get started.

The first step is to update your operating system (OS) from Windows 7 or Windows 11. A few things must be checked before it may be used.

Update Windows and select Beta Channel

1: Go to Settings by clicking on Start or using the Windows key.
2: Check to see whether your Windows is up to date on the right-hand side. Enter the next stage by clicking on it.
3: If it does not state that your Windows is up to date, click on the button to update it.
4: Next, click on Windows Insider Program
5: “Installed build” serial is shown here. Having a build serial number of at least 22000.282 is required for installing Android applications on Windows 11. With 22000.376, I meet the requirements. Please upgrade your system if you aren’t on this version.
6: Choose the second option. Windows Insider Account – you must connect your Windows account email before you can choose any other option.
7: Once you’ve done so, click on Beta Channel.

Change Region to United States

Skip this step if you already have your region set to the United States. For this to function, you’ll need to change your region, since the Amazon Appstore that we’ll install via the Microsoft Appstore is key to this whole operation.

1: Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
2: Go to the Language & area section under Time & language.
3: Change the region to United States in the region settings.
4: Restart your computer (I originally missed this step, but I ran into some issues until I rebooted my system, so do not skip!)

Check if Virtualization is enabled:

So for the next step, we need to make sure that you have Virtualization enabled on your computer.

1: Hold down the CTRL, SHIFT, and ESC buttons at the same time. The Task Manager will be opened as a result of pressing this key.
2: See whether the Virtualization option is checked under the Performance tab.
3: Please feel free to go on to the next section if this option is enabled. Because I haven’t done anything and it’s enabled by default, I’m certain this is enabled by default once you activate your Windows Insider Account (on a fresh install of Windows 11).

Microsoft Store version 22110.1402.6.0 or later is required in this situation. My IP address is 22112.1402.3.0, which means we’re good to go.

Android Apps

To check the version:

1: Select “Start” from the menu, or hit “Windows.”
2: Search for Microsoft Store.
3: The account settings may be accessed by clicking on the profile picture in the top right corner.
4: Afterwards, go to the App settings.
5: If you scroll down, you’ll see Microsoft Store’s version.

Now for the real deal: Install Amazon Appstore

In order to run Android applications on Windows 11, you’ll need to download and install the Amazon Appstore, which can be found in the Microsoft Store.

1: Open Microsoft Store.
2: Search Amazon Appstore.
3: And then just install it.

Important note: Because it’s still at an experimental stage and hence not accessible to everyone (obviously), some complain that even if you change your area, the Amazon Appstore will still identify your real region after launching. This is not the case for everyone, though.

Installing it is as simple as going into the store and searching for the app you wish to use.

Isn’t it cool? Honestly, no. It’s a bit of a hassle, but that’s the price we pay for embracing new technologies at an early stage.

ENJOY & HAPPY LEARNING!
