DSLR
This year is the year of the SLRs. For beginners, here we have picked out our top ten favorite beginner’s DSLRs. These are great cameras for beginners because they are extremely user friendly, have tons of features, and generally just feel great to use. Read on for more information.
Nikon D3500
Nikon D3500 DSLR with lots of features. For many photographers who want to start taking pictures in a way that feels more like working with a professional, the Nikon D3500 DSLR is a great place to start. It has all of the things you would expect from a beginner friendly camera: high quality lenses, great low light performance, excellent imaging, and so forth. The only downside to this beginner friendly DSLR is that it’s one of the most expensive ones available on the market, so if you’re looking for something to quickly start off with before spending big money on more powerful models, this one may be your best bet.
Nikon D780
Another high end compact sized camera with many user friendly features. The main difference between the Nikon D780 and the other smaller models is the size-this model is only 7x smaller then the other smaller cameras. While this isn’t noticeable when shooting with it, you will notice a difference when viewing pictures on the screen.
Canon EOS Rebel SL3
One of the best cameras out today for both beginners and professionals. If you have been thinking about purchasing a beginner’s guide to photography, the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 is an excellent choice. With features such as auto focus, and a variety of manual functions, this DSLR is perfect for anyone looking for a simple yet efficient camera to begin experimenting. The price, for a beginner still, isn’t as costly as many others, and for those who know they want to take photos as soon as possible, this is a must have model.
Nikon D90
If the previous two models are more than your budget allows, and you’d like to invest in one for the beginning photographer, then this is a great place to start. If you haven’t been bitten by the bug yet, but realize you want to learn more about photography, then the Nikon D90 is a perfect first stop. Features such as image stabilization and a self-timer make photo shooting a breeze, even for beginners. The body is a bit on the heavy side, but it still provides a large enough screen that you can work comfortably even if you’re a beginner.
Nikon D780
While this is a little more expensive, the Nikon D 780 is a great investment for the serious photographer. The D780 has an advanced sensor that allows it to shoot in various modes, including Single shot, Continuous shooting, and Live view. Having a sensor with these capabilities will allow you to keep expanding your shooting range, or experiment with shooting modes a bit before you move up to the next level.
Nikon D905
The Nikon D910 is the third best DSLR in terms of value. For less than half the price of the D 780, the D905 has all the same features as the others. It also has a built in vari-angle touchscreen display, which makes using the camera much easier. However, if you like, you can purchase a separate viewfinder from Nikon for even greater flexibility.
Nikon D3500
The Nikon D3500 might not be the fastest DSLR on the market, but it’s one of the most affordable ones. If you’re a beginner and just want to get started taking pictures, then this is the right choice. This model has everything that you would expect from a beginner’s DSLR, including a self-cleaning sensor, an accurate sensor, and an accurate LCD screen.
